Mechatronic Engineering at AGH University of Krakow is a second-cycle (Master’s) programme taught in English, with the Mechatronic Design speciality. It is for graduates of a BSc in a cognate discipline who want to design complex mechatronic products in interdisciplinary teams and take them all the way to a prototype.
The studies are project-oriented and built around cooperation in project teams, so you learn the specific nature of the mechatronic design process and techniques for solving interdisciplinary design problems. Courses cover the design of mechanical, electronic and control systems as well as software and hardware application techniques. The programme also addresses the wider demands of mechatronic products – market constraints, multifunctionality, user-friendly operation and the cost of the whole operating period – along with scheduling and carrying out prototyping and managing a design team.
The speciality courses of Mechatronic Design deal with the design of embedded systems and microsystems (MEMS).
During classes you work with:
English is the language of instruction, so candidates need an appropriate command of English in addition to a first-cycle degree with a solid base in mathematics, physics and design skills.
Mechatronic Engineering at AGH holds ABET accreditation at both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels.
