Why study it:

3D Graphics and Game Art is a specialisation within the MA in Graphics at the University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz (AHE), offered in English. It is meant for graduates fascinated by digital art and games who want to work on 3D graphics, game worlds and interactive media.

Programme: game design, environments and interfaces

The specialisation courses include:

  • Computer Game Design – a design block covering the game as a whole, including post-production and visual effects
  • Environment and Character Design – 3D modelling, set elements, character design and level design
  • Graphic Design in Games – designing game user interfaces
  • 3D modelling, animation, texturing and lighting techniques

Specialisation: from concept art to the game engine

On the 3D side you model objects, characters and digital environments, using digital sculpting, texturing, digital materials, lighting and rendering, and you prepare assets optimised for real-time engines. On the game art side you create concept art, environment art and user interface elements, and learn how artists work with game designers, programmers, animators and producers.
